For SD channels: 5 Mbps minimum. For HD channels: 10 Mbps minimum. For Full HD: 15 Mbps recommended. For 4K UHD: 25 Mbps minimum with 35 plus Mbps recommended for multiple devices.
Shared Connections
If multiple people in your household use the internet simultaneously, add up their usage. A family of four with multiple streams, gaming and browsing should have at least 100 Mbps for a smooth experience.
Testing Your Speed
Use speedtest.net or fast.com to check your current connection. Run the test at different times of the day to see peak vs off-peak performance. If your speed drops during peak hours, consider upgrading your plan.
